What is the Big Bear Pass?+

The Big Bear Pass is one pass covering seven adventures in Big Bear Lake, California, across three operators run by the same family: Big Bear Jeep Experience, Big Bear Off-Road Experience and Designated Wakesports. It covers three self-drive Jeep trails, the Tourzilla guided safari, two wakeboat charters and Sea-Doo rentals.

Which adventures are on the pass?+

Seven: the Pinnacles, John Bull Jr and Gold Mountain self-drive Jeep trails, the Tourzilla guided passenger tour through Holcomb Valley, charters on the Malibu Legacy and the Axis T235, and Sea-Doo rentals at Pleasure Point Marina.

Do I drive the Jeep myself?+

Yes on all three Jeep trails. You drive a Big Bear Jeep Experience Wrangler and a guide leads the way, narrating over two-way radio. Two-door Jeeps seat up to 3 guests, four-door Jeeps seat up to 5, and your party are the only passengers in your vehicle. Tourzilla is the alternative if you would rather ride than drive.

What does a wakeboat charter include?+

Charters are priced per boat rather than per person. Every charter includes the captain and instructor, fuel, lessons at all levels, wakeboards, wake-surfs, water skis, tubes, life jackets and USCG safety equipment. The Malibu Legacy runs $249 per hour for up to 6 passengers, the Axis T235 runs $349 per hour for up to 9.

How much are Sea-Doo rentals in Big Bear?+

Sea-Doo rentals are $169 per hour from Pleasure Point Marina, including fuel and life jackets. Capacity is 3 passengers or 400 pounds, whichever comes first, and a valid driver license is required. Sea-Doos are first come, first served, so reserve by phone at (909) 556-3345.

When do Jeep trips depart?+

Big Bear Jeep Experience trips depart at 9:00 AM, 1:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. All Jeep trails are permitted by the U.S. Forest Service.

How far is Big Bear Lake from Los Angeles?+

Big Bear Lake sits at 6,752 feet in the San Bernardino Mountains, roughly a two-hour drive from Los Angeles. The lake is 7 miles long and 2 miles wide.

Do I need a driver license for the Jeep trails?+

A valid driver license is required to drive a Jeep, and drivers must be 21 or older, or 19 to 20 with a parent present. Tourzilla and the wakeboat charters need no license because a guide or captain drives. A license is required for Sea-Doo rentals.
